The mission of Hawkinsville Missionary Baptist Church is to minister to the spiritual and physical needs of the community; to preach and teach the Word of God to those who are lost; to encourage those who are saved and to develop disciples to represent and serve God in the present age.”

About Us

Hawkinsville Missionary Baptist Church is an independent church in Chattanooga, TN. Here you can anticipate sermons and worship that bring glory to God. We have created a loving, neighborly community, and always happy to welcome new members to the family. 


The sermons delivered by our pastor, J. Brandon Ross, are relevant to our present day issues and lives. These sermons are meant to inspire our congregation through God's biblical word and messages of love, peace, and understanding.

Grow in Christ

Education Resources consist of enrichment classes that are created for our members and communities to grow in the knowledge of the Kingdom of God. Discover the principals and fundamentals to stay rooted and grounded in Kingdom Authority. Consider participating in:


  • Wednesday Empowerment , your basic fundamental bible study class taught by J. Brandon Ross. These classes are designed to enrich and empower the believer’s walk in Christ. Classes are held on Wednesday Nights at 6:30pm.
     
  • Sunday Life School provides a great teaching environment for children and adults to grow in the knowledge and application of God’s Word. It provides the opportunity to ask questions, no matter how basic, and to discuss and motivate you to personally apply God’s principles to your daily life. You will enjoy great teaching, lively discussion and warm encouragement that will assist in your spiritual growth.

North on I-75 Take exit 5: Right turn at the light onto Shallowford Road and continue straight ahead .4 miles to third light (Gunbarrel Road); Left turn for .4 miles to Pinewood Drive; Right on Pinewood Drive for .4 miles to church.


South on I-75 Take exit 5; Left turn at the light on Shallowford Road and continue straight ahead to fourth light (Gunbarrel Road); turn left at light and go .6 miles to Pinewood Drive; turn right for .4 miles to church.


Sunday School 9:45 a.m.

Morning Service 11:00 a.m.

Wednesday Bible Study 12 noon and 6:30 p.m.

    We strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere at Hawkinsville MBC. We greet each other so everyone feels welcomed; we share announcements and church news; we sing and listen to our choir perform beautiful music; we share the congregation’s joys and concerns and lift them to God in prayer.
